  18. I know this doesn't relate to Lightwave but I am sure someone will help 
  19. me out with the questions I am posting below. This newsgroup probably has 
  20. the most amiga video professionals participating.

  22. ok so here are the questions about VLAB motion

  26. I'm thinking of buying a Vlab Motion Lab but before doing so I have
  27. few questions that I need answers to.

  29. 1. Can you digitize audio by itself without video and can you later
  30.    add different video clips to previously recorded audio?
  31. 2. On a vlab partition does each seperate clip have its own file name?
  32.    so that when you digitize another clip it does not overwrite the
  33.    previous ones.
  34. 3. What are the compression to playback [fps] ratios?
  35.    [ie at 50% at what speed can you play video and for how long]
  36. 4. What would be the size of a frame [640x480] at 50% jpeg compression
  37.    on the vlab?
  38. 5. Can many different video clips be edited and combined into one 
  39.    whole video?
  40. 6. Would I be able to play 5 minutes of video [full overscan, 50-60% 
  41.    compression], with sound and no breaks on the following system;
  42.    My system consists of a A3000 40mhz 040 Warp Engine with its
  43.    build in SCSI-II controller, 16mb of ram on the warp engine and
  44.    a 2.1 gig barracuda drive [8ms] and 1.0 gig Micropolis hd [11ms]
  45.    now it is very important that the whole 5 minutes plays straight 
  46.    without any interruptions or slow downs.
  47.    If it cannot be done what can I do to make it happen?
  48. 7. What are the most annoying bugs or problems you have encountered 
  49.    with Vlab Motion ?
  50. 8. Do you think Vlab Motion's output is good enough for broadcast work?
